Given a chance anyone can rule us again

We were ruled for more than 200 years by English. English were not alone. We had Portuguese & French too. Their colonies are still alive. In principle, we all know that English used "Divide & Rule" as their policy in every sphere of Indian mindset to rule us. We were naive, well, not really. Naive would mean that you don't know about something & do get a hold on the subject with maturity. You learn from your mistakes & try to recover in the best possible way. It will be very d...

Rahul Vs Congress

Posted by Neeraj Singh on July 9, 2011 at 8:15 AM Comments comments (0)

Until few days back, talk of the town was Rahul Gandhi. He was almost on all major debates, discussions across all print & media channels, for he was on his padyatra in UP. He was trying to get a sense of the situation on the ground. His motive seemed, well better known to himself, that he was trying to do all this in the wake of upcoming elections in UP. All parties, BJP & BSP in general, criticised the whole padyatra vociferously, on the above mentioned pretext.

He seemed sincere, this guy seems opportunist

He was sincerely seemed to be working towards the cause of fighting against corruption. He didn’t do any tamasha. He had a group of people working towards the cause. They generated a lot of collateral before they came out in full protest. They built a consensus around the cause amongst Indians. They went to every political party & submitted to take their cause. None bent. They then decided to do that by themselves. Their modus operandi was simple. Get the Government to table & f...

Buck up, MMS

November of 2000 is when Sharmilla started her fast. She was fasting against the tyranny of the Indian state for implementing AFSPA in Manipur. AFSPA, as manipuries say, jolted them from inside. It took away their peace & instead gave them a life filled with daily abuse at the hands of the armed forces & local police, daily killings of both criminal elements as well as of naives. She started her fast & brought it to the parliament....

Hurriyat is all set to divide the Nation

Posted by Neeraj Singh on September 18, 2010 at 6:25 AM Comments comments (0)

There is one thing that I have never been able to understand & that is, what will it take the Indian government, rather any government, to crack down on people who openly talk against the nation & that too at "Will". Not just that, on the other hand also provides cover to them. I can see that had it happned in China, those goons would have been taken to task a long time back. Democracy doesn't permit to talk ill of your country & that too when it comes to talking to divide it on t...

See it with Compassion rather just a Territorial Issue: Mehbooba Mufti

Lets agree that it's not just a failure of the state government in Kashmir rather a collective failure of the society at large. We failed as Indians. Kashmir accession was a typical of all other princely states that decided to merge with India & accepted to abide by the Indian constitution in the offing. For a Indian like me, I only think J&K is part of India & at no cost can it be left as a fodder for others / outsiders. But that is only as an Indian. sitting miles apart, the bes...

Up against Indian Talibanization

I really don't know what do these guys want to achieve in the name of religion. They don't even know why are they Muslims or Hindu or Christians. Probably just because they were born in that religion & nothing else. Being born & respecting the religion is fine but it is appaling to see that some of these bunch of religious goons going around & preaching their beliefs to others & that too forcefully. I don't know about you but I don't give any authority to anyone to direct me w...

Delayed but Relevant, Justice still dodges the poor!

Posted by Neeraj Singh on August 26, 2010 at 2:30 PM Comments comments (0)

When it comes to justice, it is mainly the poor who don't get it often in time. Being poorer is a context. Well, what it means is, if there is a conflict of interest between two affluential, the one richer will have an edge, in most of the cases. Poor, in most of such cases, also don't press for justice for long. Take any of the "Hit & Run" cases that have happened in the recent years. Poor need money more than justice because he feels what has happened can't be reverted so what...

India's help to Pakistan at the time of need

Posted by Neeraj Singh on August 19, 2010 at 3:24 PM Comments comments (1)

It is one of the worst times for Pakistan when more than 20% of its territories are filled with flood waters. Almost 1400+ people have died so far & millions rendered homeless. As expected while this was going on, Indian government was thinking about the aid to Pakistan & they came back good. Krishna finally offered $5 mn aid to Pakistan. Was it the ego or mean politics however eventually the aid was not accepted. Today the Prime minister called up & re-newed the same offer but co...
